Privacy Policy
Effective: August 14, 2026 · Last updated: August 14, 2026
Shark Plugs builds audio software and creative tools. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we use it, who may receive it, and the choices available to you.
1. Who we are
Shark Plugs (“Shark Plugs,” “we,” “us” or “our”) is the controller of personal information collected through sharkplugs.com and our direct customer relationships. We operate from Israel and serve customers internationally. Privacy questions and requests may be sent to support@sharkplugs.com.
2. Scope
This policy applies to our website, product communications, software licensing, downloads, subscriptions, support, Shark Evolved browser tools and Shark Studio services when released. A third-party service may apply its own privacy policy when you leave our website or use its checkout, hosting or embedded content.
3. Information we collect
- Contact and account information: name, email address, country and account identifiers.
- Purchase and license information: products, order status, subscription status, license keys, activations and transaction identifiers.
- Support information: messages, crash details, screenshots, project or system information you choose to provide, and our responses.
- Technical information: browser, device, operating system, plugin format, host application, IP address, approximate region, security events and diagnostic data.
- Website activity: pages viewed, referral source and interactions when analytics are enabled with any consent required by law.
- Marketing preferences: newsletter signup, consent status and unsubscribe history.
We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information through the website. Please do not send confidential music projects or unrelated personal information in a support request.
4. How we collect information
We receive information directly from you, automatically from your browser or our software, and from providers that help us process orders, issue licenses, prevent fraud, deliver email and operate our services.
5. Why we use information
- To provide downloads, subscriptions, licenses, updates and customer support.
- To process and reconcile orders, taxes, refunds and fraud checks.
- To maintain security, diagnose failures and improve compatibility and performance.
- To communicate essential service, licensing and account information.
- To send product news or offers when requested, with an unsubscribe option in every marketing email.
- To comply with legal, accounting and regulatory obligations and establish or defend legal claims.
Depending on your location and the activity, we rely on performance of a contract, compliance with law, our legitimate interests in operating and securing the business, or your consent. You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing.
6. Payments and merchant of record
Our checkout is expected to be provided by Blink as merchant of record. Payment and billing details are submitted directly to the checkout provider under its own terms and privacy notice. Shark Plugs does not store full payment-card numbers. We may receive the information necessary to confirm an order, deliver a product, manage a subscription, provide support and meet accounting obligations.
7. When we share information
We do not sell personal information. We may share only what is reasonably necessary with providers that support checkout, licensing, hosting, analytics, email, customer support, fraud prevention and professional advice. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect customers or our services, or as part of a business reorganization where appropriate safeguards apply.
8. International transfers
We and our providers may process information in Israel, the United States, the European Economic Area and other countries. Where required, we use recognized contractual or legal safeguards for international transfers. Privacy protections may differ between countries.
9. Retention
We retain information only for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described here. Order, tax and accounting records may be retained for the legally required period; license and account records while the product or subscription is supported; support records while useful for service and dispute resolution; and marketing records until you unsubscribe or we no longer need them. Security backups may take additional time to expire.
10. Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect personal information. No online system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please contact us promptly if you believe your account, license or information has been compromised.
11. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability or a copy of your personal information, and to lodge a complaint with a privacy authority. Israeli law may also provide rights to review and correct information held in a database. We may need to verify your identity and may retain information where law permits or requires it.
To make a request, email support@sharkplugs.com. You can opt out of marketing through the unsubscribe link in an email. You may also control cookies as described in our Cookie Policy.
12. Children
Our products and services are intended for creators aged 16 or older and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children below the minimum age permitted in their country. A parent or guardian who believes a child supplied information may contact us for review and deletion.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our products, providers or legal obligations change. We will post the revised version here and change the date above. When a change materially affects how we use information, we will provide additional notice when appropriate.
